Modern History Clay Works Studio drawing by Elizabeth Hazelton

 Goldies™ Story Cups

Once upon a time……….in a far away land called North Carolina, there was a woman who loved making pottery.   Every day in the studio, she worked to create handmade pieces in a variety of sizes, shapes, and colors. She delighted in the feel of the clay in her hands and the dazzle and shimmer of the glossy glazes . Most of all, she loved the stories beyond the surface of each piece. Antique lace, buttons, and well loved kitchen tools from a time long ago were often pressed into the soft clay to add texture and meaning.

One day the potter was inspired to create a new kind of piece that celebrated the woman in her own life. She had been blessed with an encouraging mother who inspired her with her strength and wisdom, remarkable daughters who brought magic into each day as she watched them grow, and incredible friends whose humor and warmth gave her joy.  Goldies™ Story Cups were created to celebrate each of these vibrant women in her life and those all over the world by telling the stories of their joys and passions.

Each Goldies™ Story Cup is lovingly handmade ensuring that, like the women whose stories they tell, no two are exactly alike. Food and dishwasher safe, they are meant to be used and collected. For those who are listening, they will even whisper a story to be heard and savored.
